We are not here to sell you services that you don’t need. We take the time to get to know our patients. We listen to their health story in order to create an optimal treatment plan.
My children and I have been patients of Dr. Parsons for years. She is absolutely the best dentist that I have ever known. She is patient, explains each and every procedure and is gentle when necessary. I always hated the numbing shots but I hardly feel anything as she topically numbs first. I now live in Phoenix but travel back to see Dr. Parsons. Her sense of humor is contagious, and her office is a happy environment! She has worked closely with me to develop plans and devices to manage my teeth grinding. She has done 2 crowns for me as well and they are still perfect after many years. Of course I trust her office completely – and she was the President of the Ohio Dental Association. Doesn’t get any better than that!

Dr. Michael Herman
Dr. Herman attended dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, graduating in the top 5% of his class, and was inducted into the dental honor fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Herman is dedicated to high-quality dental care with an evidence-based focus, and believes it is important to care for patients of all ages, regardless of their medical complications. Dr. Herman looks forward to helping patients cope with the elusive nature of TMD, as he suffers from this affliction himself. He is an active member of The Columbus Dental Society, American Dental Association, Team for Implantology, the Academy of Laser Dentistry and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and The Ohio Dental association, where he serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce.
Dr. Herman grew up in Bexley, Ohio and currently resides in the Columbus neighborhood of Berwick with his husband, Mike, and their two cats, Pi and Winston. In his free time, Dr. Herman enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Sharon Parsons
Dr. Sharon Parsons graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1981 and has practiced at Dental Associates since 1987. She has been very active in all levels of organized dentistry and was President of the Ohio Dental Association in 2019-2020. Dr. Parsons is a member of several dental organizations including The American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International Team for Implantology and the Association of Women Dentists. She has been the recipient of the Lucy Hobbs award and the Icons of Dentistry award.
Dr. Parsons is a general dentist who practices restorative dentistry, including fillings, crowns, bridges, esthetic dentistry and implant restoration among other things. She is passionate about her patients and their dental health.
Dr. Parsons raised two sons in Bexley. She practices with her younger son, Michael Herman. Her older son, Sean Herman, died of an opioid overdose in 2015. This has led her to become an advocate for the prevention of opioid addiction. She lectures to dentists about opioids, addiction and prescribing. She has spoken to many groups in Ohio and has spoken at the American Association of Pediatric Dentists at their annual meeting in Chicago in 2019. She is also the Chair of the East Main Street Special Improvement District. In her free time Dr. Parsons likes to walk her dog, hike, garden, cook, travel and spend time with friends.
Front Office
Our Front Office Staff, led by Lori, is the voice that greets you when you call our office, the face that meets you as you enter our reception area and the person who checks you out as you leave the office. This group keeps our office running smoothly. Lori manages the office and has been with us for 40 years. Sandy, Debbie and Trisha all work hard to assist you in scheduling appointments, file your insurance claims and answer administrative questions.

Dental Hygienists
Our Dental Hygiene Staff does their utmost to help you maintain your periodontal health. This talented group of Dental Hygienists has extensive experience in periodontal therapy and have all trained with a periodontist in the past. They are some of the best in their field and we are so fortunate to have them with us.
Back Office
Our Back Office Staff works to make your office visit as comfortable as possible. They work hand in hand with the dentists during procedures, ensuring that treatment flows smoothly and your needs are met. All of our assistants have graduated from accredited programs and take great pride in their work.
Dr. Fred Cheung
Dr. Fred Cheung grew up in San Francisco, California. Aspiring to be a dentist since he was young, he attended and earned his D.D.S. degree from New York University College of Dentistry. As a dentist, Dr. Cheung aims to provide quality care to his patients as well as educating them on the importance of oral health. He is constantly seeking continuing education to learn new techniques to give the best care to his patients. Dr. Cheung is an active member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Columbus Dental Society, and Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Cheung currently resides in Powell with his wife, Victoria, and their dog, Skippy. When not taking care of patients, Dr. Cheung enjoys going out and trying out new restaurants around the city. He also enjoys watching sports and traveling around the world.
